SAP ECC Technical Consultant

We are seeking an experienced SAP ECC Technical Consultant to support technical data extraction for procurement and related finance data as part of an enterprise data migration initiative.

The role involves analysing SAP ECC data structures, identifying standard tables and custom Z objects, developing ABAP-based extraction programs, supporting RFC connectivity, and validating extracted data. The consultant will work closely with SAP, ETL, and data migration teams to ensure accurate and reliable data extraction for migration activities.

Key Responsibilities
Analyse SAP ECC data structures and identify relevant standard tables, views, and custom Z objects.
Design and execute data extraction approaches for procurement, purchasing, and related finance data.
Develop and maintain ABAP extraction programs and data-processing utilities.
Support SAP RFC connectivity, authorisations, and technical access requirements.
Analyse data relationships, primary keys, field structures, and dependencies across SAP MM, FI, and purchasing.
Validate extracted data for completeness, accuracy, consistency, and reconciliation with source records.
Troubleshoot extraction failures, authorisation issues, data inconsistencies, and technical defects.
Support multiple extraction cycles for mock migrations, testing, reconciliation, and final cutover.
Coordinate with ETL and migration teams on data formats, dependencies, schedules, and delivery timelines.
Maintain technical documentation covering extraction logic, table mappings, validation rules, and operational procedures.
Follow SAP security, data-access, and development standards.
Mandatory Skills and Experience
Minimum 6+ years of hands-on SAP ECC technical experience.
Strong ABAP development skills, including custom extraction programs and troubleshooting.
Good knowledge of SAP ECC standard tables, data structures, and relationships across SAP MM, FI, and purchasing.
Experience working with standard SAP tables, views, and custom Z tables or objects.
Working knowledge of SAP RFC connectivity and technical authorisations.
Practical experience in SAP data extraction, validation, reconciliation, and migration activities.
Understanding of data dependencies, field mappings, data formats, and source-to-target requirements.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate with technical teams.
Willingness to travel to Kuwait for two project-related trips.
Good-to-Have Skills
Experience in SAP ECC data migration, system transformation, or legacy-to-target migration projects.
Knowledge of SAP MM procurement processes, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, goods movements, and invoice-related data.
Exposure to ETL tools or enterprise data migration platforms.
Familiarity with SAP FI data structures and procurement-finance integration.
Experience supporting mock loads, reconciliation cycles, cutover, and production migration.
Exposure to SAP S/4HANA migration or ECC-to-S/4HANA transformation projects
