ServiceNow SOMT architecture

We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow SOMT Architect with strong expertise in Telecom Service Management, telecom order lifecycle management, and ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM). The candidate will be responsible for designing end-to-end telecom and fiber service solutions, defining scalable architectures, and integrating ServiceNow with enterprise systems across CRM, CPQ, Billing, OSS/BSS, Inventory, Network, and ERP platforms.

The ideal candidate will have strong solution architecture, integration design, stakeholder management, and presales capabilities, with a focus on leveraging standard ServiceNow functionality while minimizing unnecessary customization.

Key Responsibilities
1. Telecom SOMT Architecture
Design end-to-end ServiceNow SOMT architecture for telecom and fiber services.
Design Quote-to-Order, Order-to-Fulfillment, Provisioning, Billing, and Closure processes.
Define New Order and MACD (Move, Add, Change, Disconnect) lifecycle processes.
Design Product, Service, and Resource relationships across the telecom service lifecycle.
Develop reusable, scalable telecom order and fulfillment patterns.
Define integrations with CRM, CPQ, Billing, Inventory, Network/OSS, and ERP systems.
2. ServiceNow SPM
Design solutions using ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) capabilities.
Leverage Project and Project Portfolio Management functionalities for telecom implementation and delivery initiatives.
Define project charters, projects, tasks, dependencies, milestones, planned versus actual dates, and project status tracking.
Utilize SPM Epics and related capabilities to manage business initiatives and delivery requirements.
Define the boundaries between standard SPM functionality, SOMT capabilities, and custom extensions.
Align SOMT order and service lifecycle processes with SPM project and delivery management.
Recommend standard ServiceNow capabilities wherever possible and minimize unnecessary customization.
3. Solution Architecture and Integration
Create end-to-end solution architecture, functional architecture, and integration designs.
Define data flows and integrations between SOMT, SPM, CRM, CPQ, Billing, OSS/BSS, ERP, and other enterprise systems.
Identify gaps between standard ServiceNow capabilities and business requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
Ensure architecture is scalable, reusable, maintainable, and aligned with ServiceNow best practices.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and enterprise architects to validate solution designs.
Support solutioning, presales discussions, and technical presentations.
Mandatory Skills and Experience
10+ years of overall IT, solution architecture, or enterprise architecture experience.
Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow, particularly SOMT / Telecom Service Management.
Proven experience designing telecom and fiber Quote-to-Order and Order-to-Cash / Order-to-Fulfillment solutions.
Strong understanding of MACD processes and telecom product and service lifecycle management.
Practical experience with ServiceNow SPM, including Projects, Project Tasks, Dependencies, Milestones, Epics, and portfolio/project tracking.
Experience deciding when to use standard ServiceNow SOMT/SPM functionality versus custom development.
Strong experience in ServiceNow integrations and enterprise architecture.
Excellent stakeholder communication, solution design, and presales skills.
