Senior Backend Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to design, develop, and support scalable backend services, APIs, and data-driven applications for Consumer Health Commercial and Data teams.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with NestJS, GraphQL, Redis, and Snowflake, along with a solid understanding of backend architecture, API design, cloud technologies, and modern software engineering practices.

Mandatory Skills and Qualifications
5+ years of hands-on experience in backend development.
Strong experience with Node.js, NestJS, and TypeScript.
Hands-on experience with GraphQL, API design, and microservices architecture.
Experience with Redis for caching, session management, and performance optimization.
Strong experience with Snowflake, SQL, and data integration.
Experience with Azure (preferred) or AWS, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Git branching workflows.
Experience with Agentic AI and GitHub Copilot in software development.
Strong understanding of backend architecture, security, scalability, and performance optimization.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with effective stakeholder communication skills.
Commercial Analytics Domain Knowledge: Understanding of centralized data foundations for Global Sell-Out (SO), Point-of-Sale (POS), and syndicated market data, including integration from external providers such as IQVIA, Circana, and other strategic data sources across markets. Familiarity with market performance, growth analysis, competitive intelligence, and market-share insights.
Good-to-Have Skills
Experience with event-driven architecture and messaging systems.
Experience with REST APIs and third-party integrations.
Experience building data-intensive applications and analytics platforms.
Exposure to Data Science and AI applications.
CPG/FMCG or Consumer Health domain experience.
