Job Description
Design, build and operate critical network infrastructure across data centers, colocation facilities and public cloud connectivity (Azure ExpressRoute, AWS Direct Connect). Owns network solutions end to end (architecture standards, deployments, modernization, IaC automation, handoff to Network Operations) and is the Tier 3 escalation point.
⚠️ Data center / colocation experience is the key requirement. Candidates with mostly office, campus or branch networking will not be considered.
Must have:
✅ 7-10+ yrs enterprise network engineering, core in data center and/or colo networks
✅ Cisco Nexus and Catalyst; BGP / OSPF; data center fabric management (Cisco NDFC, Catalyst Center)
✅ Palo Alto firewalls, SD-WAN, Infoblox / DNS
✅ 3+ yrs public cloud network connectivity: Azure ExpressRoute and/or AWS Direct Connect, plus colo-to-cloud hybrid hubs
✅ Hands-on network automation built, not just used: Terraform, Ansible and/or Python, managed in GitHub / GitHub Actions
✅ Tier 3 escalation point; owned full design → implementation → handoff to Ops lifecycle
Nice to have:
➕ CCNP (preferred, not required)
➕ AZ-700 or AWS Advanced Networking Specialty; Google Cloud networking
➕ Observability: ThousandEyes, SolarWinds, Splunk, Grafana
➕ CIS, NIST, SOC 2, system hardening, audit support
➕ Agile / product owner, Azure DevOps
➕ Vendor evaluations, roadmaps, architecture council
➕ Financial services or other regulated industry
