POWER BI DEVELOPER
Job Description
Experience: 5+ Years
Location: Chennai
Work Mode: Onsite for the first 1 month, followed by Remote
Employment Type: Contract / Full-Time Mandatory
Technical Skills:
5+ years of hands-on experience in Power BI development.
Strong expertise in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
Excellent knowledge of DAX and Power Query (M Language).
Strong SQL query writing and optimization skills.
Expertise in data modelling, including Star Schema and Snowflake Schema. Experience developing interactive dashboards, reports and KPI visualizations.
Hands-on experience with data transformation and ETL processes.
Knowledge of Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS).
Experience with Power BI Gateway, scheduled refresh and workspace management. Dashboard performance tuning and optimization.
Key Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards. Build complex DAX measures, calculated columns and KPIs.
Connect and integrate data from multiple sources.
Perform data cleansing, transformation and modelling.
Optimize report performance and data refresh processes.
Understand business requirements and translate them into reporting solutions. Publish and manage reports using Power BI Service.
Good-to-Have Skills:
Microsoft Fabric Azure Data Factory Azure Synapse Analytics Python SSIS / SSRS
Work Location Requirement:
The candidate must be comfortable working onsite in Chennai for the first 1 month. After successfully completing the initial month, the position will be fully remote.
Key Screening Criteria :
5+ years of overall experience, strong hands-on expertise in Power BI, DAX, SQL, Power Query and data modelling.
Availability to work onsite in Chennai for the first month is mandatory.
