Job Overview

We are looking for a Business Analyst + Data Scientist with strong experience in SAP, Business Analysis, Data Analytics, SQL, Databricks, AI/BI, and modern GenAI solutions.

The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical/data teams, with responsibility for understanding business problems, gathering and translating requirements, defining KPIs and analytics use cases, and supporting the delivery of data-driven solutions.

The candidate should have a strong understanding of SAP business processes and data, along with working knowledge of Databricks, Databricks SQL, Delta Tables, Unity Catalog, AI/BI Dashboards, and Databricks Genie.

Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirement Gathering
Work closely with business stakeholders to understand business objectives, pain points, requirements, and expected outcomes.
Conduct requirement-gathering sessions, workshops, interviews, and stakeholder discussions.
Translate business requirements into functional, data, and analytics requirements.

User Stories
Process Flows
UAT Scenarios
Acceptance Criteria
Identify business gaps and recommend data-driven solutions.
Coordinate requirement validation and obtain stakeholder sign-offs.
SAP & Business Process Understanding
Understand SAP business processes, modules, and underlying data structures.
Identify relevant SAP data sources for analytics and reporting use cases.
Work with SAP teams to understand data availability, business rules, and data relationships.
Translate SAP/business requirements into technical and analytical requirements.
SAP experience is mandatory.
Exposure to SAP Business One is preferred.

Data Analytics & SQL
Analyse business data to identify trends, gaps, opportunities, and actionable insights.
Define business KPIs, metrics, reporting requirements, and analytical use cases.
Write and understand SQL queries for data analysis and validation.
Work with technical teams to ensure data meets business requirements.
Validate analytical outputs against business expectations.
Databricks & AI/BI
Work with Data Engineers and Data Scientists on Databricks-based analytics solutions.

Understand and work with:

Translate business requirements into Databricks AI/BI dashboard requirements.
Define business-friendly dashboards, visualizations, KPIs, and reporting logic.
Validate AI/BI dashboards with business stakeholders.
Understand Databricks Genie and its application for natural-language analytics and self-service data exploration.
Support the definition of Genie Spaces, knowledge, instructions, and business context based on business requirements and KPIs.

GenAI & Agentic AI
Demonstrate a good understanding of Generative AI and Agentic AI concepts.
Identify potential business use cases for GenAI and AI agents.
Work with technical teams to translate business requirements into AI/GenAI use cases.
Support validation of AI-driven analytics and business solutions.
Stakeholder & UAT Management
Collaborate with business stakeholders, Data Engineers, Data Scientists, SAP teams, and technical teams.
Facilitate UAT activities and coordinate issue resolution.
Validate dashboards, analytics outputs, and data against business requirements.
Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, issues, and analytical findings to stakeholders.
Translate complex technical and analytical concepts into simple business language.

Mandatory Skills
SAP – Mandatory
4–5+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Data Analytics, Data Science, or a combination.
Strong Business Requirement Gathering experience.
Strong Stakeholder Management and Business Communication skills.
Strong understanding of business processes, KPIs, reporting, and analytics.
Good knowledge of SQL and data analysis.
Working experience with Databricks.

Understanding of Databricks AI/BI Dashboards.
Understanding of Databricks Genie.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical/data requirements.

Good understanding of GenAI and Agentic AI.
Strong documentation skills covering BRDs, functional requirements, user stories, process flows, and UAT.

Experience with AI/BI dashboard implementation.
Experience working on enterprise data and analytics transformation projects.
